What to Expect...

This complementary event is aimed at bringing together business leaders in the greater Central Wisconsin Area to share the strategy and tools of Lean Six Sigma and their application within all types of businesses. Join us for presentations, discussions, and networking.

Who is This For?

This symposium is the perfect event for business owners, executives, company leaders and practitioners of Lean Six Sigma to network, share, and learn practical ideas to improve your customers' experience, make better use of your company's resources, and simplify your work processes.

What is on the agenda?

In Part I, Kent will talk about the Lean journey at The Boys & Girls Club of the Wisconsin Rapids Area. Specifically how they are using Lean tools to improve the club member pick up process after school and how they are reducing inefficiencies to help staff be more productive and shorten the amount of time it takes to get members into their after school learning program. In Part II Joe and Mai will present the journey Ascension’s Language Services department has been on for the past two years. They will talk about being very disciplined about listening to the data to drive effective decisions. In two years, they have reduced operating expenses (fixed costs) by ~$1.4M without reducing FTE. The use of 80/20 and visual management will also be discussed. Part III will be a panel discussion with the initial topics centered on how to get started. Lessons learned, strategies, what works and what doesn’t will be discussed by leaders from various organizations. Bring your questions and be ready to participate!
